Hallway Runner Ideas

The term “pile” may appear when shopping for carpets of any size. This refers to the density and length of the fibers. It may be referred to as low / high, short / long, or flat / shaggy. In layman’s terms, Stacking means how fluffy the carpet is. Generally, the low pile is less than ¼ inch, the middle one is ¼ to ½ inch, and the long one is ½ to ¾ inch.

In general, short carpets are more durable. They are also easier to clean / vacuum than long pile carpets. That means When considering different hall runners for a high-traffic hallway, look into lower stacks. You don’t need the shortest stack, however, as these are often too fragile for high traffic areas.

So what do you do if you just like the style and softness of? Shag / high pile hallway runners? Place them in corridors with less pedestrian traffic, e.g. B. in a back hallway around rooms that are used less often.
